39 days....and counting!

My wonderful aunt Joyce is sending Tom, Lilly and I on a 7-day, Western Carribean cruise at the end of April. We will be stopping in Cozumel, Grand Caymans, and Jamaica. The cruise has its own "kid" agenda, so we expect that Lilly will have a ball. We've got so much to do to prepare! It's gonna be here in no time! We are taking the Carnival Cruiseline "The Liberty" -- so excited! THANK YOU AUNT JOYCE!

Lilly ice skates on her own!

And she will be the first one to tell you about it! She has been telling everyone all weekend that she skated "all by herself!" We met Lori (the figure skating coach) and her daughters Lynsey (6) and Lira (3) at the ice rink this Saturday. We bought Lilly a new helmet and her very own skates! She thought she was something else! :)



We were so excited that Lori brought her daughters. They are both great skaters! Lira, Lori's 3 year old, sure can motor around on the ice; and Lynsey does these amazingly, graceful moves! They were both quick to help Lilly! And Lilly seemed to be inspired by the both of them!





The Lovely Coach Lori was teaching Lilly how to fall correctly, and then how to get up. At the end of the session, Lilly was skating all by herself, with no coach and no bar! Tom and I were cheering from the sidelines.





So, coach Lori and her family are returning to their hometown of Pittsburgh this month, so she can no longer coach Lilly. We really want to keep Lilly skating. She talks about it all of the time, and understands that she goes on the weekends. She especially is excited now that she knows she can do it all by herself. We are going to meet with Jenna next weekend. Jenna teaching 2, 3 & 4 year old tot classes, so we think Lilly will have a ball with her, too! Girls morning out!

Sunday morning, Mom/Grandma picked us up to head to the park! It was a beautiful, sunshiney day! We played on the playground for about and hour, then we went to lunch. Lilly got an extra, extra special treat, as Grandma rocked her to sleep for her afternoon nap! Here we are enjoying the park!

Happy Birthday NeeNeen (Jenilyn)!

Jen came over on Saturday of last week - Lilly was ready to celebrate Jen's 26th birthday! Lilly asks about NeeNeen (she's just now able to pronounce Jenilyn, but I'm rather fond of the name NeeNeen, which is what she used to say!) all of the time and enjoys their playtime together!

Just about every weekend, Lilly and I go to a park. We've got some pretty nice ones around our neighborhood. Lilly loves to climb to the top of ladders, slide down slides, and insists on swinging on the "big girl" (pronounced big gorl) swings!
