Our Lilly Grace is 5 months!

I'm sorry for being late on the 5 month post! It has been very hectic around the Buzzerd-Courtney Estate! Will be filling you all in soon! So, these pictures are actually 5 plus a little months!



At 5 months, Lilly:
Is cutting 2 teeth on the top and 2 on the bottom...
Loves to talk (in her own language, of course)...
Is definately a morning person...
Loves to grab and hold on to her feet...
Has light hair growing in...
Giggles at just about everything...
Is interested in television...
Always has fuzz between her toes...
Is learning to like cereal (this has been a struggle)...
Still makes pucker faces when drinking juice...
Has outgrown 0-3 & 3 months clothing...
Is now wearing 6 month clothing (THANK YOU JOYCE FOR ALL OF THOSE!)...
Watches the trees when traveling in her car seat...
Is rolling over, but does NOT like to be on her belly...
Intentionally picks up and shakes toy/rattles...
Talks to her stuffed pink bunny rabbit while having her diaper changed...
Is exhibiting some Courtney tantrums...
Does not like to go to sleep...
Always has her hands in her mouth (and anything else that seems interesting)...
Is starting to say "mmm" "mmm" "mmm" sounds (close enough to MOM for me!)...

This settles it!

My boss lady told me about this website! It's a hoot! You can put your picture in and it will tell you what celebrities you most resemble! I look most like Lucille Ball, LL Cool J and Racquel Welch; Tom looks most David Blaine, Charles Barkley and Harry Houdini!

So then I put mine, Tom and Lilly's pictures into the "Who does your baby look most like, Mom or Dad?" option, and this is what came back! See, I told you she looks more like me! :)

Happy Campers

Tom and I took Lilly on her first camping trip this Labor Day weekend. We camped on Kerr Lake, once of the largest lakes in the southeast, with 50,000 acres of water and 850 miles of shoreline stretching from North Carolina into Virginia. The drive from Durham is about 40 minutes. The days were sunny and gorgeous, but we were delighted that our ugly lil' pop-up camper was equipped with air-conditioning!

Knowing that we were going boating, Tom and I had to have a "practice session" with Lilly's new infant life vest! She's obviously not very happy with the cold pool water in this picture! (and the people trying to relax at the pool loved us!)

Daddy and Lilly resting....Tom does all of the work when we go camping. My friends can't believe that I like camping (as opposed to a spa visit), but I enjoy it! Tom plans the meals, shops for the meals, packs the camper and the car, cooks all the meals over the campfire (including pancakes, bacon, steak, potatoes, fresh coffee), makes all of the campfires, etc., what's not to love about camping with Tom?

We had such a nice time. Felt relaxed for the first time in quite a while. We even did pretty well with our dieting, although I think we are gonna skip this week just in case!

Lilly will be 5 months this time next week! Will update more then!

Beyond coo's to real "giggles" --

The point of this video is for you to hear LG giggle. There is a distint "Hee Hee" at the very beginning (like at the first few seconds of the video) and then one at the middle. There are, of course, plenty of coo's, but I love the hint of laughter that she's starting to give us! I tell her all of the time that I can't wait to hear how she laughs, and what her little voice is going to sound like, etc. Again, you have to pay very close attention to hear the laugh, but it's there!

Move over, Beckham!
